Felling/Removal of a 35 foot conifer tree

I started by removing the top branches, then working my way down the tree I removed all of the branches until a bare trunk was left. I then felled the trunk; which hovered above the ground. I then segmented the trunk in to small logs, and stumped the tree.

This tree had been dead for some time. The client wanted the stump too remain a couple of feet high to use as a makeshift bird table feature.

A nice big job to start the new year; despite having to work in the frost/snow. Was a very successful job, with very pleased clients. The garden is now more open to sunlight.

This 40/50ft Laylandii tree had become to large for the client and was blocking the light from the house through out the day. This was the most challenging tree felling job I had done as the tree had grown alongside a telegraph pole with 9 wires protruding. The job was very successful as I safely removed the tree from the intertwined wires and cut it down to the hedge level.
